The first “vertical forest” in Asia, which will convert CO2 to 60 kg of oxygen daily
In 2018, in the Chinese city of Nanjing, the construction of the “Vertical Forest” will be completed, the author of which is the Italian architect Stefano Boeri. The complex consists of two towers, 200 and 108 meters high, on the terraces of which over 1000 trees and 2500 shrubs will be planted.Such a forest will improve air quality and also become a new landmark in Nanjing.
On the terraces of the towers will house more than 1000 trees of 23 species and 2500 shrubs
Daily forest will convert carbon dioxide to 60 kg of oxygen
The 200-meter-long building will have offices, a museum, a school of green architecture and a club, and in the lower a Hyatt hotel with a rooftop pool.
A similar forest is planned to be built in Lausanne, Switzerland.
