The Persian cat is one of the oldest breeds of long-haired cats, bred in the territory of modern Iran. When compared with other breeds, the Persian cats are least suited for living outside the home. The Koshes of the Persian breed are distinguished by their complete trust in their owners and affectionate character. Often choose a subject of worship from family members. Usually Persian cats are balanced, but they love to attract the attention of the owners. To do this, they can accompany the host throughout the house, sit beside him and gaze at him. Despite the seemingly lazy complacency, Persian cats are very fond of outdoor games, and even more adult individuals willingly run after a ball, bow and willingly play with children. Also, many Persian cats love to arrange the hunt for insects flying into the house. Currently, there are more than one hundred species of Persian cats in their color. Among such a variety of colors there are gray, blue, orange, copper, cream, white, red, black and even purple cats. The color of the eyes of Persian cats can also vary from green to blue or dark orange, according to their color.

Persian cats have a uniform color, if cats have spots or shades on the head, neck, paws or tail, o they stand out in a separate form, called color-point. This is due to the fact that in the 1970s, many Persian cat kennels appeared in the United States, with many cats being rejected and sold to European countries, which did not affect the quality of the breed. The selection of a typical breed of Persian cats specialists took about 20 years. Back in 1933, a breed of cats called “exotics” with the shape of faces, similar to Persian, but with shorter hair, was bred in Europe.

In the USSR, Persian cats began to appear only in the late 80s of the last century and were very rare. In the 90s Persian cats began to spread throughout the country and were considered a luxury item. The main difference of Persian cats from other breeds is a small and wide nose. Individuals with a very small nose are referred to as an extreme type, and with a relatively long nose - to the classic.Extreme type is most common in the United States, and the classical type in European countries. The body weight of an adult animal can reach 7 kilograms. Serious deficiencies include too flat and high form of the skull, difficulty breathing through the nose, too short paws or a long body, and also stuck together or heterogeneous fur. Often with improper care, mats or bald spots may appear. Usually, breed estimates are standard, but there are distinctive criteria for each color. For example, a white Persian cat may have an iris from dark blue to dark orange. Different eye colors are allowed. The color of the nose and paw pads are pink. Persian cats with a blue iris can be deaf. For such a cat needs special care. It is much more difficult for such cats to hear the approaching danger, to come into contact with other animals, because they do not hear threatening sounds and can only be guided by mimicry and vibration. Sometimes it happens that deaf from birth kittens with age gain hearing. Another variety of color is the Persian black cat.The coat color of such cats is uniformly black. Brownish or chestnut shade of wool is a disadvantage. Eye color varies from copper to dark orange. In sunlight, wool can change its shade. As already mentioned, the breed of Persian cats is one of the most demanding in the care. If you do not care for wool, then over time it begins to tangle, resulting in the formation of mats. As a preventive measure, powder with talcum powder should be made daily, and then thoroughly combed it with a brush or a special comb. Also need frequent washing. As a result of breeding in Persian cats, there is a characteristic lack - a defect of the nasal septum, as a result of which cats can constantly snort, and the eyes can be watered due to disruption of the lacrimal glands. For proper care of an animal, a comb with frequent and rare teeth, various brushes, for example massage, rubber, tooth and natural bristles, a special glove, and scissors with blunt ends are necessary. For short-haired species, you must have a grooming glove, comb and suede napkin.

How to make a harness for a cat?

The structure of the strap includes an insert with a ring for fastening the leash, which the cat has in the process of wearing on the back and on the main part. The paws of the cat are threaded into certain holes, and the widest part in the center of the strap is on the chest of the animal. Then, on both sides of the paws, on the sides of the cat, and fastened to the insert of the strap. The harness should be made of durable and well-breathing material, which will be convenient for your pet. Such a harness will sit well on the cat, do not squeeze the movement and do not wash the fur. But if necessary, your cat will be able to get out of the strap, which can affect the negative quality. Another disadvantage is that making such a harness can take a lot of time, especially a laborious process in this matter - measuring the size of a cat that is unlikely to stand humbly and wait until you take measurements from it.
