How to save a link?
Every Internet user sometimes needs to save information from a website in order to return to it in the future. In this article we will explain how to save an interesting link in a browser or text editor.
How to save the link in the browser?
As an operating system, for example, take “Windows”; By default, the system has Internet Explorer. We will work in it.
Open the browser, go to the site we need. The website email address is displayed in the top line and must begin with https: //. Here, for example, I now have the address: with it we will make a link.
On the toolbar, look for the yellow star button - it is called “Favorites” - and click on it. A window will appear in which our links are saved. In this window, click: "Add to Favorites." After that, another window appears with the title "Adding a web page to your favorites." In this window in the column "Name" we write our link name (I wrote: Google-Mugl), and click the "Add" button. Now, if we click on an asterisk, then our link will be in the window (I have a google link to the site :).
We act in a similar way with other browsers, and the button name may be slightly different (for example, “Bookmarks”), but the sequence of actions remains the same.
How to save a link in a text editor?
If you need to save the link in the .doc format or print it, then we will act in a different way. Open the browser and copy the email address. This can be done in two ways: first, select the text with the left mouse button, then right-click on it and select the Copy item; the second is to select the link and press the key combination Ctrl + C on the keyboard.
Then we open the program for working with the text Microsoft Word and insert the email address into it. To do this, press the right mouse button in the text field and select "Paste" or use the key combination Ctrl + V. After that you can save the document and get, thus, a link to your favorite site in text form in a .doc file format. You can also save the link in the Excel table, if necessary.
