How to cook an original orange cake
You will need
- For the cake: 6 small eggs, 280 grams of sugar, 225 grams of melted butter, vanilla, 230 grams of flour with mixed yeast, 160 grams of ground almonds.
- For syrup 180 grams of sugar, 2 or 3 oranges, 100 ml of water.
Start by cutting the oranges into thin slices. Heat sugar and water in a saucepan. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the oranges and leave them to sugar in 10 minutes.
Prepare a syrup: mix 180 grams of sugar, 3 sliced oranges and 100 ml of water. Heat slightly on the stove and set aside.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Using a brush, brush the baking sheet, which is covered with parchment paper. Arrange the slices of orange in a circle on a baking sheet.
Whip or a mixer, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla together. When the foam has formed, add the sifted flour, melted butter and almonds.Using a brush or spoon, spread the mixture over the oranges on a baking sheet.
Bake the cake for 1 hour at a temperature of 360 degrees.
After cooking, remove the cake and allow to cool slightly.
