Caramel Oranges Dessert
To prepare an original and natural delicacy, which is stored for a long time and has excellent taste, is not difficult at all.
Take: 1 kg of medium-sized oranges, if possible thin-skinned, 400 g of brown sugar, 100 ml of water.
Oranges cut into circles 0.5 cm thick. Put a layer of sugar on the bottom of a thick-walled pan and put a layer of oranges on top of it. Repeat as needed, so that the top layer is sugar.
Pour the entire structure with hot water and put the pan on low heat. Cover and simmer for about two hours, adding water as needed. Part of the sugar, if desired, can be replaced by honey.
