Bath procedures, massage with a broom, visiting a sauna or a bath, seem ordinary and simple things. But, in fact, the way it is properly steamed is considered a whole science, which began to develop even at the origins of the first saunas and baths, not only Finnish or Russian, but also all the others that are known today. General recommendations and principles

  • Bath does not accept fuss. It is best to make several visits to the steam room, with breaks in between, followed by a long rest at the end.

Finnish sauna

This type of bath is very popular in our area. Its hallmark is high temperature combined with low humidity. The Finnish sauna can be characterized by dry steam and a temperature sometimes greater than 100 degrees. In the sauna, as in any bath, there are certain rules for soaring.

  • The first set serves to warm up. The body needs to adapt to high temperatures. Initially, do not climb to the top shelves, but it is better to lie down. Over time, you can move to the next height shelves. After you sweat well, get out of the steam room and rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • In the Finnish sauna, adding water to the stones is limited or completely eliminated. You can add water if the humidity in the steam room has become unbearably low. In this case, water is added not to the stones, but to the ceiling or walls, sprinkling them.The exceptions to this are infusions of medicinal plants, such as eucalyptus. They can pour the stone, because the volume of liquid is not so large.
  • In the Finnish sauna do not use a broom, but simply sweat, lying or sitting on shelves of different heights. As stated the first entry to warm up, you are in the steam room for 5-6 minutes, then take a cool shower and relax. Subsequent visits may already be longer. Depending on your health, they can vary from 5 to 20 minutes, with a break between them. After each soar, take a cold shower, reducing the temperature of the shower time after time. Between approaches, you need to drink a small amount of liquid, in small sips. You should not drink cold, mineral water or tea. So you can provide copious sweat.
  • When you visit a Finnish sauna, it is worth considering that the air there is very hot and dry, so breathe only with your nose, because when the air passes through the nasopharynx, it is humidified and cooled. In addition to all this, you should wear a headdress on your head, usually it is a wool or felt cap. This is done in order to prevent drying of the hair and overheating of the head.

Turkish bath

The main feature of the Turkish baths are heated benches, walls and floor.In the steam room there is a soft and wet vapor similar to mist. Usually it is not hot, about 55 degrees, it is also often flavored. Looks like a Turkish bath, photos of its special features, and the main differences you can see on the net. Turkish baths, on the principle of their construction are similar to the palm, they have five niches around the main steam room. The temperature in the niches rises in order, from 50-60 degrees in the first, and to more than a hundred in the last. In the dressing room remains a temperature of 30 degrees. Here people are warming up. In the very center of the steam room there is a large sun-bed, on which they are steaming, lying on their stomachs.

In the Turkish bath are three pools with different temperature water, from cold to hot. Having started the procedure, you warm up well, then visit all the niches in the steam room, moving on to more hot ones with breaks and rest. After that, lie down on the central stone, pour hot water on it and perspire well. Also a prerequisite for Turkish baths is massage. After you visited the steam room, it is his turn. The massage should be relaxing and at the same time intense.
